Better Public Transport and Safer Roads

Ensuring public transport services cater to our current and future needs remains an active project for Pyrmont Action.

Pyrmont is one of the areas in Sydney with the lowest car ownership, in many ways thanks to our efforts of ensuring public transport services across bus, light-rail, and ferries meet our community’s needs.
But we know we must remain vigilant as government can introduce changes at short notice.

Pyrmont Action’s focus remains on improving ferry services to the peninsula, enhancing stops and connections for bus services (specifically routes 389 and 501), and having appropriate services to schools located outside of Pyrmont, namely Ultimo and Balmain, to ensure safe and timely travel options for our school aged residents.

Reducing road traffic and congestion and enhancing pedestrian safety remain key topics for our advocacy efforts.
